Established over 10 years ago by Metin Kaya and Family, the company went from being a small, low-key clothing repair & outfitters to a nationwide business in a short period. Stitches is now Manchester and Birmingham's most popular clothing repair, alteration and bespoke tailoring company.
Having built up a background of excellence in tailoring spread over 30 years, Metin grew a reputation for the alteration of Catwalk and high fashion brands, once the preserve of models or the rich. He brought these products into the realm of the ordinary woman or man about town.
From these original beginnings Stitches first store opened in Manchester in March 2003 and soon outgrew the original premises necessitating a move to bigger, purpose designed premises on St. Mary's Street next to House of Fraser Manchester (formerly known as Kendals). As glowing testimonials and word of mouth spread an additional store was opened in Birmingham on Stephenson Street near the Bullring in the town centre.
Founded on the principal of great service and customer satisfaction and underpinned by fantastic value for money Stitches has grown steadily year on year.
